Enhanced General Packet Radio Service, also known as EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution), a mobile data service that provides higher data speeds over GSM networks. It improves upon GPRS by employing more advanced modulation and coding schemes. EGPRS is a 2.75G technology that offers data rates up to 473.6 kbit/s.
