High-Speed Circuit-Switched Data, a technology that enhances data transfer rates over GSM networks by combining multiple time slots. This allows for faster internet access and data communication compared to standard circuit-switched data. HSCSD was an interim step before the widespread adoption of GPRS and other packet-switched technologies.
