Stream straightener

A device fitted inside a fire nozzle that reduces turbulence and creates a more cohesive, solid stream of water. It consists of a grid or a set of fins that align the water flow as it passes through the nozzle barrel toward the tip. This component is particularly associated with smooth bore nozzles to maximize the reach and penetration of the fire stream.
