An automotive body style featuring a removable panel over the passenger compartment while leaving a fixed, full-width roll bar behind the seats. This design provides an open-air experience similar to a convertible but retains greater structural rigidity and rollover protection from the fixed rear window and B-pillar structure. The name originates from the Porsche 911 Targa, which introduced the style in 1966.
