Roll hoop

A structural bar or set of bars positioned behind the occupants of an open-top vehicle, designed to provide protection in a rollover incident. Unlike a full roll cage, roll hoops are typically integrated into the vehicle's design and are less obtrusive. They are a common safety feature in convertibles and roadsters.
