Hot roll

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002896

To process metal by passing it through rollers at temperatures above its recrystallization temperature. This operation reduces the metal's thickness and refines its grain structure, making it more ductile and easier to form. Hot rolling is a primary process for producing large quantities of steel sections, plates, and sheets.
