Alpha rolling

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000174

A metalworking process applied to titanium and its alloys, where the material is rolled at temperatures within its alpha phase field. This thermal-mechanical treatment refines the grain structure and influences the texture of the material. Alpha rolling is performed below the beta transus temperature for the specific titanium alloy.
