Warm working
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006514
The plastic deformation of a metal at temperatures above room temperature but below its recrystallization temperature. This process reduces the force required for deformation compared to cold working, while still producing strain hardening. Warm working is performed at temperatures typically between 0.3 and 0.5 times the absolute melting temperature of the metal.
