A financial calculation, total cost of ownership, that includes all direct and indirect costs of acquiring, operating, and maintaining an asset over its entire life cycle. It accounts for the initial purchase price plus expenses for installation, energy consumption, maintenance, repairs, training, and eventual disposal.
