Temple

A device used in weaving to keep the selvedges of the fabric at a consistent width during the weaving process. It consists of two bars with pins or spikes that grip the fabric edges, preventing them from drawing in and narrowing. This maintains uniform tension across the warp threads as the weft is inserted.
