Terasecond

A unit of time in the International System of Units (SI) equal to one trillion (10^12) seconds. This large timescale, equivalent to approximately 31,700 years, is used in scientific fields like geology and astronomy to quantify long-duration phenomena, such as the half-life of certain radioactive isotopes or periods in planetary history. A terasecond is one thousand times longer than a gigasecond and one thousand times shorter than a petasecond.
