Thermal design power

A measure of the maximum heat generated by a computer component, such as a central processing unit (CPU) or graphics processing unit (GPU), under a typical workload. It represents the cooling capacity required for a system to dissipate heat without exceeding its maximum junction temperature. TDP is expressed in watts and guides the selection of cooling solutions.
