Tomato cage

A cylindrical or conical wire framework placed around a young tomato plant to provide support as it grows. The structure keeps the plant's stems and fruit off the ground, which prevents rot, reduces pest damage, and improves air circulation around the foliage. Commercial cages are typically made of galvanized steel wire and stand between 0.75 and 1.5 meters tall.
