Trailable
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006121
Describing points that a train can run through safely in the trailing direction, entering at the heel end, while set for the other route, the wheel flanges pushing the blades across without damaging the mechanism. Spring points return the blades to their set position automatically afterwards. A facing move from the toe end over points set against the train is not permitted, because the wheels could take the wrong route and derail.
