A Universal Serial Bus interface used in modern aircraft for data transfer between portable devices and the aircraft's avionics systems. Maintenance technicians use these ports to upload navigation databases, install software updates, and download flight data or fault logs from onboard computers. The physical ports are often located in the cockpit or on avionics equipment in the electronics bay for easy access during ground operations.
