Ventipane

A small, triangular window located in the front door of older vehicles, typically pivoting on a vertical axis to open for ventilation. This design allowed for controlled airflow into the cabin without fully opening the main window. Ventipanes were common on cars manufactured before the widespread adoption of air conditioning and modern flow-through ventilation systems.
