Cloche

A type of flight control stick, typically found in early aircraft, that allowed pilots to control both pitch and roll by moving a single lever. Pushing or pulling the cloche controlled pitch, while moving it side-to-side controlled roll. This control mechanism was common before the widespread adoption of the modern joystick or yoke.
