Vergence

A measure of the curvature of wavefronts of light, indicating whether light rays are converging or diverging. Positive vergence denotes converging light, while negative vergence indicates diverging light. It is expressed in diopters, where one diopter is the reciprocal of the focal length in meters, and is a key concept in ophthalmic optics.
