Virtual focus

A point from which diverging light rays appear to originate after passing through an optical system. Unlike a real focus, where light rays actually converge, a virtual focus cannot be projected onto a screen. It is characteristic of diverging lenses or convex mirrors, which spread out incident parallel light rays.
