Focalization
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006984
The action of a lens or mirror system to converge or diverge light rays to or from a single point, known as the focal point. For a converging lens, parallel incident rays are bent inward to meet at the real focal point after passing through the lens. For a diverging lens, parallel rays are bent outward and appear to originate from a virtual focal point on the same side as the incident light.
