A Vertical Machining Center, which is a type of computer numerical control (CNC) machine tool where the spindle axis is vertically oriented. This configuration allows for efficient chip evacuation and often provides good visibility of the workpiece during machining operations. VMCs are widely used for milling, drilling, and tapping operations on flat or prismatic parts.
