Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-007364
A solid model of a vessel built from boards, each cut to the outline of one water line taken from the ship's plans and laid on top of the next. The stacked boards are then shaped smooth to give the hull form. Such a model lets a builder see the shape of the hull as it is drawn in the plans.
