Actively at work provision

A clause in group insurance policies, such as life or disability insurance, that requires an employee to be actively performing their regular duties on the effective date of coverage for the policy to become valid. If the employee is absent due to illness or injury on that date, coverage may be delayed until they return to work. This provision prevents individuals from obtaining coverage while already incapacitated.
