Temporary total disability TTD

A workers' compensation benefit paid to an injured employee who is completely unable to work for a temporary period due to a work-related injury or illness. These benefits replace a percentage of the employee's lost wages, typically two-thirds of their average weekly wage, up to a state-mandated maximum. Payments cease when the employee returns to work or reaches maximum medical improvement.
