Permanent partial disability

A lasting impairment resulting from a work-related injury or illness that reduces an employee's earning capacity or ability to perform certain tasks, but does not prevent them from working entirely. Compensation for this type of disability is typically based on a schedule of benefits for specific body parts or a percentage of impairment. The worker has reached maximum medical improvement.
