Long-term disability income insurance

An insurance policy that provides a regular income stream to an insured individual who becomes unable to work due to a qualifying illness or injury for an extended period. Benefits typically begin after a waiting period and can continue for several years or until retirement age. The policy replaces a percentage of the insured's pre-disability income.
