Recurrent disability
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-002820
A provision in disability income insurance policies that treats a return of the same or a related disability within a specified period, often six months, as a continuation of the original disability. This avoids a new elimination period and allows benefits to resume immediately. It prevents policyholders from having to satisfy a new waiting period for a relapse.
