Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990

A United States federal law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, and transportation. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 requires employers with 15 or more employees to provide reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants and employees with disabilities. Title I of the act, which covers employment, is enforced by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
