Physical impairment

A bodily condition that affects a person's ability to perform major life activities, such as walking, seeing, hearing, or breathing. This condition can be congenital, result from an injury, or be caused by an illness. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), employers must provide reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with physical impairments.
