Combined additional coverage (CAC)

A physical damage coverage for autos that pays for loss from a named list of perils, written together with fire and theft coverage as fire, theft and combined additional coverage. Typical perils include windstorm, hail, earthquake, explosion, flood and vandalism. It does not pay for ordinary collision damage, and it is narrower than open-perils physical damage coverage, which insures every cause of loss that is not excluded.
