Covenant not to sue

A legal agreement between two or more parties where one party promises not to pursue legal action against another party concerning a specific claim or set of claims. This agreement does not necessarily release the other party from liability but prevents the initiating of a lawsuit. It is often used in settlement negotiations to resolve disputes outside of court.
