Dropped medical malpractice claims

Medical malpractice claims that are initiated but subsequently discontinued by the plaintiff before reaching a final judgment or settlement. These claims may be dropped for reasons such as insufficient evidence, procedural errors, or the plaintiff's decision not to pursue the case further. While not resulting in a payout, such claims still incur defense costs for the insured and insurer.
