Earned reinsurance premium

The portion of a reinsurance premium that corresponds to the period for which the reinsurer has already provided coverage to the ceding insurer. This amount is recognized as revenue by the reinsurer as the coverage period expires. It is calculated by prorating the total reinsurance premium over the policy term, similar to how earned premium is determined for direct insurance policies.
