Earnings before interest, dividends, depreciation, and amortization (EBIDDA)

Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001242

A financial metric that indicates a company's operating performance before accounting for certain non-operating expenses and non-cash charges. It is calculated by adding back interest expense, dividends, depreciation, and amortization to net income. While similar to EBITDA, the inclusion of dividends makes EBIDDA a less common metric in general financial analysis but may be used in specific valuation contexts.
