Policyholder dividends

A return of a portion of the premium paid by policyholders from a mutual insurance company, based on the company's favorable financial performance. These dividends are not guaranteed and depend on factors such as underwriting profits, investment income, and claims experience. They can be paid in cash, applied to reduce future premiums, or used to purchase additional coverage.
