Vanishing premium

A marketing concept for certain permanent life insurance policies where policy illustrations suggest that out-of-pocket premium payments will cease after a certain number of years. This occurs when policy dividends or interest earnings are projected to be sufficient to cover future premiums. However, actual performance may vary, potentially requiring continued premium payments.
