Extended discovery provision

A clause within a claims-made insurance policy that grants the insured a limited period after the policy's termination to report claims for incidents that occurred while the policy was in force. This provision addresses the lag between an occurrence and the discovery of a resulting claim. It is similar to an extended reporting period but may have different terms.
