Discovery cover
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001187
Coverage that lets an insured report claims first made after a claims-made policy has ended, provided they arise from acts committed before it ended, usually for an additional premium. It protects a business that closes, retires, or changes insurers and would otherwise lose cover for its past acts. The reporting window it creates is also called an extended reporting period.
