First dollar coverage

An insurance policy feature where the insurer pays for covered losses from the very first dollar of expense incurred, without any deductible or waiting period. This means the policyholder does not bear any initial out-of-pocket costs for covered claims. It contrasts with policies that include deductibles, coinsurance, or copayments.
