Fujita scale
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001602
A scale used to rate the intensity of tornadoes based on the damage they cause to structures and vegetation. Developed by Tetsuya Fujita, it originally ranged from F0 (light damage) to F5 (incredible damage). It has since been replaced by the Enhanced Fujita (EF) Scale, which uses more specific damage indicators and better correlates wind speeds with observed damage.
