Group-owned captive

Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001684

An insurance company owned by a collection of unaffiliated organizations to insure the risks of its member-owners. This structure is a common form of alternative risk transfer for businesses in the same industry that face similar liability exposures but are too small to form their own single-parent captive.
