Incidental malpractice
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-001784
A liability exposure, and the endorsement that covers it, arising from medical services such as first aid or clinic care given by physicians, nurses, or technicians employed by an organization that is not a healthcare provider. Commercial general liability forms typically exclude professional medical services, so businesses such as manufacturers, schools, and retailers add the coverage by endorsement. It does not replace medical professional liability insurance, which healthcare providers need for services that are central to their business.
