Participating provider network

A group of healthcare providers, including doctors, hospitals, and other medical facilities, that have contracted with an insurance company or managed care organization to offer services to its members at discounted rates. Members typically pay less when they use providers within this network compared to out-of-network providers. The network structure is a core component of health maintenance organizations (HMOs) and preferred provider organizations (PPOs).
