Incurred but not enough IBNE

A component of an insurer's loss reserves, representing the estimated additional cost for claims that have already been reported and for which an initial reserve has been established, but where the current reserve is deemed insufficient. This adjustment accounts for the potential for claims to develop adversely, such as through higher medical costs or extended litigation. It is often grouped with incurred but not reported (IBNR) reserves.
