Interstate Commerce Commission Termination Act of 1995 ICCTA

A United States federal law that abolished the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) and largely deregulated the railroad and motor carrier industries. It transferred remaining regulatory functions, primarily related to railroads, to the newly created Surface Transportation Board. The Act significantly reduced federal oversight of interstate transportation.
