Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-002184

An endorsement to a U.S. auto insurance policy, or a separate policy, that extends coverage for accidents occurring while driving in Mexico. Standard U.S. auto policies do not provide coverage south of the border, making this additional protection necessary for travelers. Mexican law requires drivers to demonstrate financial responsibility, which is satisfied by purchasing liability insurance from an authorized Mexican insurance company.
