Nonstandard auto insurance

Insurance coverage for drivers who are considered high-risk and are unable to obtain a policy in the standard or preferred market. These drivers may have a poor driving record with multiple accidents or violations, a lapse in coverage, a DUI conviction, or an unusual vehicle. Premiums for nonstandard policies are substantially higher than for standard policies, and the coverage options are more restricted.
