Office sharing exclusion
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-002402
A provision found in professional liability insurance policies, particularly for law firms, that denies coverage for claims arising from the professional services of individuals or entities who share office space with the insured but are not named as insureds under the policy. This exclusion addresses the potential for confusion regarding professional affiliations and liability among co-located but separate practices. It prevents coverage for claims against non-insured parties who might be perceived as part of the insured firm.
