Stipulation

A condition or requirement specified in an insurance policy or legal agreement that must be met by one or both parties. In a claims context, it can be an agreement between parties in a lawsuit or dispute regarding certain facts or procedures, avoiding the need for formal proof. Failure to adhere to a stipulation can affect coverage or legal outcomes.
