Usurped power
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003449
An organized, non-governmental force that seizes control of territory or governmental functions through rebellion, insurrection, or revolution. Standard property insurance policies almost universally exclude losses caused by a usurped power, placing it in the same category as war and other political risks.
